The Regional Vice President of Sales and Operations oversees the overall management of multiple retail stores in various markets to ensure effective operations and fulfillment of budgeted sales and revenue. Manages the implementation of procedures, sales, processes, customer services and profit delivery.

Responsibilities

Store Operations: 

Drive the achievement of company sales revenue and margin goals by setting strategic direction and developing annual and long-term plans that define store operations, policies, methods and procedures.

 

Business Planning: 

Lead the development of annual and longer-term business plans, ensuring alignment with strategy; quantify business outcomes (i.e. revenues or other key performance indicators) and resource budgets (financial and headcount); and ensure integration of key activities or projects across the organization. 

 

Operations Management: 

Direct operations for designing, developing and delivering the organizations operational strategy that drives revenue and EBITDA. 

 

Business Strategy Implementation: 

Develop the strategy for regional business of significant function, anticipating market challenges and opportunities. Ensure the strategy is successfully implemented and meets long-term business needs.

 

Leadership Direction: 

Set and communicate the strategy for achieving the organization's mission, vision and values within a function, together with the broad actions needed to implement it; inspire a large or diverse workforce to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals. 

 

Budgeting: 

Take responsibility for setting and managing markets budgets so they align with organizational strategy. 

Policies and Procedures Development: 

Lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and related guidelines for a significant area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with external requirements and integration with the broader corporate policy framework. 

 

Performance Management: 

Manage and report on the performance of the function/business area; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.

 

Organizational Capability Building: 

Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging needs of your region. Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities. Motivate others to develop their capabilities and fulfill their personal potential. Build capabilities elsewhere in the organization through mentoring and other informal methods. 

 

Organization Structure: 

Define the detailed organization structure for your region to align with corporate principles to enable the organization to achieve its business objectives.

  • Acts with expertise as the organization's authority on using clear and effective verbal communications skills to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans or policies.
  • Acts as the organization's authority and established expert to develop solutions based on an understanding of the business environment and objectives.
  • Acts as the organizational authority and established expert on costing, budgeting and finance tasks.
  • Uses expertise to serve as the organizational authority on meeting high customer service standards.
  • Acts as the organizational authority and established expert on interpreting and applying knowledge of laws, regulations and policies in area of expertise.
  • Ability to apply your expert sales experience/acumen to train and motivate your organization on the foundational principles of the company and the finer points of in-home sales.

Experience: 

  • Experience level enables job holder to provide leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes and challenges (More than 15 years)
  • Experienced in strategic management and leadership across company function directing substantial resources over long time frames (More than 15 years).
