The MRO/Maintenance Stockroom Manager will oversee maintenance and reliability for our growing sites and equipment. You will take a hands-on approach to leadership, effectively engaging, motivating, and coaching team members. The Stockroom Manager needs to be strong in maintenance planning ordering parts, product knowledge, leadership, and technical skills related to maintenance equipment, manufacturing, and machine parts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee M&RE-related processes including maintenance of automation and manufacturing equipment, electrical, facilities, mechanical, and all aspects of equipment and buying.
  • Motivate, engage, coach, and inspire a team of stockroom employees and technicians, creating a positive team dynamic that encourages all employees to provide feedback and drive change from within
  • Identifying and developing vendors for repair and maintenance services.
  • Provide project management support, scheduling, purchasing, and orders
  • Manage outside vendors and facilitate planned and unplanned repairs
  • Conducting cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintaining inventory levels and optimizing stock to reduce waste and cost.
  • Sourcing and procuring parts, materials, and supplies.
  • Obtaining pricing, lead times, and terms from suppliers.
  • Ensuring the stockroom is clean, organized, and compliant with safety and GMP standards using 5S principles.
  • Overseeing the receiving, logging, and stocking of all materials.
  • Operating equipment like forklifts safely to move materials.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for continuous improvement in stockroom processes.

Collaboration and reporting:

  • Prepare and submit required daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports to track stockroom performance and ensure transparency in operations to delivery targets.
  • Working with maintenance and other departments to schedule parts availability for projects.
  • Creating reports on inventory levels, usage, and other relevant metrics.
  • Interacting with various stakeholders across the organization.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the plant and department to identify problems
  • Using and maintaining inventory management systems.
  • Issuing and managing purchase orders (POs).
  • Identifying and developing vendors for repair and maintenance services.
  • Overseeing the receiving, logging, and stocking of all materials
  • Developing and implementing strategies for continuous improvement in stockroom processes.
  • Analyzing data on parts usage to identify trends and make improvements.
  • Working with maintenance and other departments to schedule parts availability for projects.
  • Creating reports on inventory levels, usage, and other relevant metrics.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing MRO Stockroom in a manufacturing plant or large automated distribution site
  • Experience with maintenance parts and supplies, ordering, planning, and scheduling.
  • Purchasing and buying along with all budgeting and tracking
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics
  • Exposure to mechanical, electrical, automation and maintenance parts and machines
  • Experience managing a team of 8 or more employees
  • Excitement for working in a high -paced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Flexibility to support the maintenance team’s work schedule
  • Experience in inventory management, stock control, or a related field is often required.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills are essential.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including inventory management and office software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with different departments and staff.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, such as lifting and standing for extended periods.
