Join our team as a Team Leader I at PGT Custom Windows and Doors! You’ll work on A Shift and play a key role in leading and supporting a team of employees to meet production goals safely, efficiently, and with top-quality results. You’ll coach, communicate, and collaborate — all while keeping our workplace running smoothly and our team motivated. ๐Ÿš€

Responsibilities

๐Ÿ”‘ Key Responsibilities
๐Ÿฆบ Regularly monitor team members to ensure adherence to safety policies and quality standards.
๐Ÿ“… Meet with group leaders to set daily and weekly priorities, adjusting workflows as needed.
๐Ÿ•“ Prepare team schedules and approve absences or overtime to meet production needs.
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Communicate clearly and effectively — both verbally and in writing — with your team and other departments.
๐Ÿค Serve as a key contact for Group and Team Leaders to resolve cross-department questions or concerns.
๐Ÿ” Share important updates and feedback promptly with employees and other teams.
๐Ÿ“‹ Schedule and lead team meetings to ensure consistent communication.
๐Ÿ’ฌ Provide constructive feedback (positive and corrective) to employees and document it using the Confirmation of Conversations (COC) form.
โญ Conduct annual performance reviews in a timely and effective manner.
๐ŸŽ“ Ensure employees receive proper training to meet and exceed job expectations.
๐Ÿงญ Coach employees needing additional support or career growth opportunities.
๐Ÿ” Monitor production processes to maintain fit, function, and appearance quality standards.
๐Ÿ“˜ Reinforce the use of work instructions and proper documentation at all times.
๐Ÿง  Spend time on process improvement initiatives and visual management tools (e.g., pitch charts).
๐Ÿ‘‹ Work alongside your team approximately 50% of your time, leading by example.
โšก Participate in leadership and development training opportunities to grow your skills.

Qualifications

๐ŸŽ“ Qualifications
๐ŸŽ“ High School Diploma or GED required.
๐Ÿงฉ Completion of WorkKeys and Do You Want to Be a Leader training required.
๐Ÿญ Knowledge of PGT products and processes preferred.
๐Ÿ’ป Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) preferred.
๐Ÿงฎ Experience with SAP/AS400 preferred.
๐Ÿ”ง Two years of manufacturing experience preferred.
๐Ÿ’ช Strong self-initiative and leadership potential required.
๐Ÿงฉ Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills.
๐Ÿง  Ability to assess situations and make effective decisions.
โš™๏ธ Mechanical aptitude a plus.
