A Window and Door Field Service Project Coordinator is available at PGT (Part of MITER Brands) This role involves hands-on work in a dynamic environment, requiring strong communication skills, physical stamina, and technical proficiency. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English (Spanish is a plus), capable of reading and writing professional correspondence, and comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders. Responsibilities include diagnosing repair issues, assessing risks, and operating equipment safely. Candidates must be certified in aerial lift truck operation and hold a valid Class D driver’s license. The position requires frequent travel, physical labor, and the ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Strong proficiency in English required.
  • Must communicate effectively and courteously with distributors, builders, owners, co-workers, and customers.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Capable of writing professional correspondence.
  • Able to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus; may be required in locations with a high concentration of Spanish-speaking customers.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to read and use a tape measure accurately.
  • Able to assess complex situations and make sound decisions.
  • Strong prioritization skills.
  • Ability to diagnose repair issues, develop corrective action plans, and coordinate resources.
  • Able to identify potential liability risks and escalate appropriately.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment in all situations.

Certifications & Licenses

  • Aerial lift truck operation certification required.
  • Valid Class D driver’s license required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Must be able to stand for 8–12 hours per day.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
  • Frequent walking across various environments including warehouses, homes, construction sites, and uneven terrain.
  • Regular bending, stooping, climbing, and working at heights using aerial lifts or scaffolding.
  • Frequent reaching, pushing, and pulling motions.
  • Ability to carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull items up to 200 lbs.
  • Occasional overhead reaching and frequent repetitive movements.
  • Must be able to work mandatory overtime.
  • Effective oral and auditory communication required for interpersonal and device-based communication.
  • Work environments include indoor and outdoor settings, in varying weather conditions.

Travel Requirements

  • Frequent overnight travel required.
  • Must reside within 45 minutes of the assigned warehouse and territory.
