Summary

The Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the receiving operations, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of incoming shipments. This role involves leading a team, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

· Oversee the daily receiving activities and ensure all incoming shipments are processed accurately and timely.

· Lead, train, and motivate the receiving team to achieve operational goals and maintain high performance standards.

· Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with the inventory control team to resolve discrepancies.

· Inspect received goods for quality and accuracy, ensuring compliance with company standards and addressing any issues with suppliers.

· Ensure all receiving documentation is completed accurately and filed appropriately.

· Work closely with the purchasing, warehouse, and shipping departments to optimize the flow of goods and information.

· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

· High level of attention to detail and accuracy in handling receiving documentation and inventory records.

· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve receiving issues effectively.

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

· High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.

· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a receiving or warehouse role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 pounds.

· Frequent standing, walking, and bending are required.

· Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Primarily operates in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.

· Requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Full-time position with standard working hours; occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.

· Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.

· Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations.
