Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shipping Lead for our Interbranch duties in Temecula, CA. 

 

🎯 Role Purpose:

  • Support: Assist the Shipping Supervisor in achieving daily goals.
  • Leadership: Provide direction to team members and lead by example.
  • Guidance: Direct employees in the absence of a supervisor.
  • Training: Perform and train others in all shipping tasks.
  • Pre-Shift Preparation: Set goals for the day, verify loads, Create loading plans, have all loading packets prepared.

🕒 Work Schedule:

  • Regular Hours: Monday – Friday. Start time 5:00 am
  • Compensation: $28.50/hour

Responsibilities

  • Pre-shift the team on today’s goals for loading. 250 units per team Minimum
  • Safety Stretches
  • Run SOL to verify what is left to load for rundown that is going out same day.
  • Set-up Teams, assignments given, report head count and loading plan for the day.
  • Loading packets will need to print 2 Copies for loader and Puller.
  • Loading Packets, we will keep original packets and loading teams are responsible for filling out all information.
  • All Scanners accounted for and signed off.
  • All scanners checked out and listed in binder.
  • Establish Dock Doors for Loading and work with Direct to Truck Lead.
  • Review challenges with Supervisor on start-up.
  • Run Dock door Inquiry to review rundown units to add to account for loading teams.
  • Ensure all drivers are dispatched and paperwork given.
  • Rundown notes are filled out and sent to office for backorder meeting.
  • Work with JBHUNT to make sure you have enough equipment for all loads.
  • Schedule is updated-
  • Load Audits-
    • Load Quality and protection
    • In sequence
    • Total Loaded verify if any delays
    • Truck number matches manifest
    • Picture taken and uploaded when truck is completed
  • After Lunch Update Progression Meeting and safety stretches
  • Start to Plan Swing shift setup and walk through
    • What Loads are priority.
    • How many Loads left for retail and Intercompany.
    • How many Units are left to load retail and Intercompany.
    • What equipment is loaded on each door. Trailer or Box with Unit #
    • Simi Shuttles have been identified and scheduled depart time.
    • Packets printed/filled out with cover sheet to match the dock set-up.
    • Loading Manifest updated to reflect each TM totals and ready for swing
    • Dock cleaned up
    • Dock Walk with Lead or Supervisor to go over everything.
    • ALL Scanners accounted for and signed off
    • Final Schedule is updated with correct information and Truck #’s accurate
  • End of Shift Pass down Recap to the team emailed and plan for the swing shift
  • If Goal is not met 5 WHY’s Target vs Actual.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED certificate
  • Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
  • Ability to read and interpret regulations and policies in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments and customers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours depending upon the needs of the department.
