Configuration Specialist IV

The Configuration Specialist analyzes business and systems requirements to ensure their completeness. Using documented requirements, they modify outputs of company systems using provided toolsets and act as the subject matter expert for the systems they support.

• Develops/establishes new product lines and pricing structures in company systems

• Provides advanced support to production facilities, including Pull Group Support, Merge File Support, and Glass Ordering
• Makes basic modifications to company systems using programming.
• Creates and maintains mappings for external quoting systems to integrate with company systems
• Manages EDI processing and ongoing maintenance
• Collaborates with manufacturing teams and IT programmers to configure BOM files for production fabrication equipment
• Oversees publishing to various external customer systems
• Manages monthly system releases
• Coordinates releases with server installation setups
• Manages both product knowledge and software upgrades for the quoting tool
• Handles database maintenance and archives outdated product knowledge
• Creates and maintains company system installers
• Provides guidance to external customers on server installations of company systems and serves as the point of contact for technical support
• Guides with and works as a mentor to more junior level configuration specialists
• Collaborates both internally and externally to provide architectural guidance on implementation methodologies
• Works independently to make key design decisions on product configuration ideas without the direction of management
• Works collaboratively and cross functionally on integration workflows with the product configuration and application development teams
