Milgard Windows and Doors is conducting a Walk in Open Hiring Event, here in Fife, WA.

Day shift is Monday through Friday starting at 5:00 a.m.

Swing Shift is Monday through Friday starting at 4:00 p.m. Compensation for our roles start at $22.00 hourly. You will receive a $2.00 shift differential for working the swing shift.

Job Responsibilities for our open positions are included, but not limited to:

Production Assemblers:

• Assemble window and door components according to specifications. Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
• Operate hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, screw guns) to cut, fasten, and assemble parts.

• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.  

• Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Promotional opportunities available after 90 days, contingent upon meeting all requirements.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly is a plus but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and blueprints (training provided).
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.                                                                                              

Production Leads:

• Oversee departmental activities per standard operating procedures.
• Work with the department Supervisor in the assignment and supervision of personnel to always achieve an efficient operation.
• Assist the department Supervisor to see that all manufacturing orders are followed through properly to completion and are filled out properly prior to turning in.
• Assists personnel in analyzing and correcting problems encountered in job assignments to perform work according to standard operating procedures.
• Provide orderly and efficient changeover to the next shift.
• Demonstrate Milgard’s Core Values in all business interactions.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment.

Warehouse/Shipping:

• Gather finished products with pallet jack/carts and properly place items in the warehouse.
• Ensure loads are complete per documentation and that they are on the correct delivery vehicle in the proper order.
• Secure loads in a proper fashion to minimize damage and breakage.
• Previous experience in warehouse environment, particularly window manufacturing preferred.
• Glass handling and/or glass knowledge a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
