The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for Full-Cycle Accounts Payable processing including examining, verifying, reconciling and reporting on a variety of transactions. Manage the team that daily matches and posts large volume of purchase orders/packing slips to vendor invoices in Frontier, Great Plains, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft NAV software. Also supports general activities from the Accounting team by performing the following duties. 

 

This position is also available in Venice, FL, Harrisburg, PA, or Tacoma, WA.

 

Compensation is based on cost-of-living adjustments for the following states: Tacoma, WA with a pay range of $94,189–$117,736.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Payable, including customer vendor relations, and the AP disbursement group which handles all check disbursements 
  • Oversee all payment transactions such as ACH, wires, and paper checks  
  • Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information, including aging schedule preparation and various general ledger reconciliations 
  • Determine and evaluate all uncashed checks and open payables for various property filing. 
  • Prepare and provide a Cash Requirements and Cash Forecast report on a weekly basis 
  • Prepare annual form 1099’s and ensure timely filing and distribution of forms 
  • Analyze vendor credit applications and resolve all vendor issues. 
  • Perform accounting review of all credit card expenses within employee credit card expense reporting system. Ensure compliance with company policies and deadlines are met. Import credit card transactions into general ledger system. 
  • Monitor and analyze all account payable processes and recommend improvements. 
  • Ensure compliance to GAAP regulations and prepare documents for accruals 
  • Implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines. 
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure distribution of appropriate funds. 
  • Prepare and submit the following reports as needed: AP aging, AP expenses, URR (non-vouchered invoices), and VISA report 
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required, including but not limited to assist with various audit requests, SOX payables controls and SOX expense approvals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Degree in Accounting preferred. A minimum of five years’ experience or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. 
  • Must be familiar working in a high volume and inventory-intensive environment. 
  • A thorough understanding of a three-way matching system (purchase order, receiving and packing list) is required. 
  • Strong organizational, analytical and account reconciliation skills. 
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner. 
  • Ability to work with vendors and employees at all levels of the organization promptly and professionally. 
  • Strong supervisory skills. 
  • High integrity and work ethic.
