Accountant

The Accountant will be responsible for validating and maintaining key master data in accordance with the company’s internal controls. This position will also be responsible for assigned accounting and finance duties including month-end close journal entries and reconciliations, system workflow maintenance and intracompany payment processing. The position will also perform accounting research, financial reporting duties, compile audit and tax compliance support, and other projects as assigned or required. 

• Master Data validation and maintenance for Vendor/Supplier Master, Customer Master and other key data
• Perform month-end accounting functions including journal entries and analysis worksheets to support month-end results
• Perform reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts
• Complete audit requests
• Process intracompany payment runs
• Maintain system workflows
• Serve as an accounting resource for the operating locations
• Cross train with other accounting team members for backup coverage
• Participate in projects and other financial reporting areas as needed

• 2-4 years accounting/finance experience
• Knowledge of general accepted accounting principles
• Experience in an ERP environment, Oracle preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, advanced Excel skills
• Bachelor’s degree – Accounting/Finance major
• CPA/CMA a plus
• Sense of urgency and self-motivation, ability to work independently
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Computer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
