Summary

MITER Brands™ is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country.  We are currrently looking for a Commercial Sales Specialist.  In this role you will drive growth across multi-family and light commercial construction projects in Texas. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of the construction industry and existing relationships with architects, designers, general contractors, and developers in key markets.

The Commercial Sales Specialist represents our high-performance window products to commercial specifiers and builders, supporting every phase of the project from design development to installation.

 

Pay Range:  60k - 76k, depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Territory Development: Grow market presence within metro areas with a focus on key markets
  • Client Acquisition & Retention: Develop and maintain strong relationships with architectural and design firms, general contractors, and developers involved in multi-family and light commercial construction
  • Specification Support: Assist architects and designers with product selection and technical details to get our windows specified in upcoming projects
  • Bidding & Estimation: Respond to bid requests and collaborate with estimating and engineering teams to deliver accurate and timely proposals
  • Technical Consultation: Advise on code compliance, energy efficiency, acoustic performance, and product compatibility with commercial building requirements
  • Pipeline Management: Track and manage sales activities through CRM, keeping detailed records of client interactions, project stages, and close rates
  • Industry Engagement: Attend trade shows, networking events, and AIA/CSI presentations to promote brand awareness and build industry relationships
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal departments (logistics, engineering, customer service) to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, business, or related field (a plus, but not required)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in commercial windows, building materials, or construction service
  • Strong understanding of the Texas construction landscape, especially within multi-family, hospitality, senior living, and light commercial sectors
  • Existing relationships within the Texas architectural, design, and GC communities highly preferred
  • Proficiency in reading architectural and construction drawings/specs
  • Familiarity with energy codes (IECC, Title 24), building envelope requirements, and window performance metrics (U-factor, SHGC, DP rating, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently while managing multiple complex projects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Experience working with major window manufacturers or fenestration suppliers
  • Knowledge of LEED, NGBS, Passive House, or other green building standards
