Summary

Milgard Windows and Doors is a leading window and door manufacturing company, committed to excellence and innovation. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team in Prescott Valley, AZ, to support our Human Resources functions and ensure smooth operations. As an HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day HR processes, including conducting new hire orientations, administering company benefit plans, and coordinating HR activities. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to HR functions, including creating, maintaining, and updating documents, reports, and records.
  • Maintain and create spreadsheets, including developing, updating, and organizing information according to company policies and procedures.
  • Administer payroll and provide related information.
  • Plan, prepare, and conduct new team member orientations to foster a positive and safe attitude toward the company's vision and common purpose.
  • Act as the administrator for UC claims and employment verification.
  • Manage personnel files, ensuring compliance with filing and confidentiality standards.
  • Maintain team member information by entering and updating employment and status-change data through HRIS.
  • Work with production supervisors and recruiters to secure qualified team members to meet production demands.
  • Manage and coordinate leave of absence (LOAs), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests, and return-to-work programs.
  • Assist with benefit-related activities, including enrollment, new hire benefit orientation, and annual open enrollment processes.
  • Coordinate and administer team member events and activities.
  • Provide support in areas such as enrollment, documentation, and record maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws.
  • Maintain technical knowledge through education seminars, workshops, and reviewing publications.
  • Attend job fairs and career events, including at high schools and colleges, to promote employment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with HR team members across the division to identify best practices.
  • Manage internal postings and transfer requests.
  • Communicate pertinent team member information via communication boards, monitors, and internal communications.

Qualifications

  • BS in Business with a concentration in Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR role.
  • Knowledge of human resources principles and practices.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously.
  • High level of customer focus, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Bilingual ability in Spanish is helpful.
