POSITION - Maintenance Tech - Manufacturing Plant
LOCATION - Tacoma, WA
HOURLY RATE - $30.00 -35.00 Plus $2.00 for SD
SHIFT - 2nd Shift - 3:00pm to 12:30pm - M-F
Maintenance Technician job responsibilities include:
· Incorporate Vision and Values: Integrate MITER’s vision and values into daily activities and behaviors, inspiring and motivating others to uphold the Miter philosophy.
· Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
· Preventative Maintenance Focus: Perform preventative maintenance (PM) for equipment in your assigned area. Proactively maintain and troubleshoot to prevent potential issues before they arise.
· Effective Communication: Maintain open and accurate communication with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
· PM Work Order Completion: Accurately complete all assigned PM work orders, documenting all relevant information regarding the completion of tasks.
· Documentation and Reporting: Complete Maintenance, Repair, and Operations documentation, including FIXX entries, as required by various maintenance tasks and repairs.
· Technical Maintenance Tasks: Perform technical maintenance tasks independently.
· Parts Inventory Management: Provide all necessary information to maintain proper parts inventories.
· Collaboration with Contractors: Work alongside outside contractors to complete projects and improvements efficiently.
2-5 years of experience in a maintenance occupation preferably in a manufacturing environment.
· Technical or Trade school degree preferred, or a combination of a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
· Working knowledge of energy sources for each piece of utility equipment in the assigned area (electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.). PLC experience is a plus.
· Ability to maintain plant utilities (lighting, water systems, drain systems, etc.).
· Ability to work independently when directed.
· Understanding of schematics and blueprints.
· Understanding of various diagnostic equipment including but not limited to ohms meters, voltage meters, etc. Basic knowledge and understanding of power equipment including cut-off saws, demo saws, drills, etc.
· Thoroughly understand and follow all OSHA and company regulations as they relate to the maintenance field (Lock Out Tag Out, Personal Protective Equipment, etc.).
· Understanding of critical Maintenance, Repair, Operations, and FiiX procedures and requirements.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
