A Swing Shift Shipper job in Prescott AZ is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. You will secure loads in a proper fashion to minimize damage and breakage. You will also ensure that loads are complete per documentation and that they are on the correct delivery vehicle or container in the proper order. In addition, interpersonal skills are needed to operate in and maintain a team environment. Must have sufficient reasoning ability to solve problems with or without oral or written instructions.

The starting hourly compensation is $19.00. Plus, $1.50 shift differential.

• Understands and follows quality guidelines. These guidelines cover several areas of the shipping operation, including (but not limited to) material handling, proper loading, and security procedures (as outlined in the quality audit), and following proper inventory management and handling.
• Secure loads in a proper fashion to minimize damage and breakage.
• Ensure loads are complete by documentation and that they are on the correct delivery vehicle or container in the proper order.
• Must be able to understand and ensure labeling of all shipping-related items – doors, screens, windows, custom items, MDF trim material, specialty items, samples, etc.
• You will understand all color codes, inventory logging procedures, and clean inventory management.
• You will understand truck loading procedures and train new employees. Understands proper load methods related to stopping order, individual customer requirements, as well as space requirements.
• Can visualize trucks at load startups to effectively plan to space while following quality loading standards.
• Moves straight truck equipment to and from the dock area in a safe manner.
• Maintains and cleans the work area.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Compute basic math equations and accurately read a tape measure.
• High level of Mechanical Aptitude.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must work safely and actively promote safety, by following Personal Protective Equipment standards and safety procedures and policies. Must ensure that others adhere to safety procedures and wear PPE.
