Summary

This position provides support for site process automation and data collection systems for PGT Venice manufacturing operations. Partnering with operations, engineering, IT, and maintenance functions will be critical to effectively supporting these site systems. This position requires direct technical support of process automation systems and projects. This position requires mentoring and coaching for B & C level Process Automation Technicians and Maintenance Technicians

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide direct front-line support of site process automation and data collection systems for manufacturing and utilities systems
Support Process Automation Engineering system owners for exclusive process automation systems (e.g. SCADA, data backups, etc.)
Follow site procedures and technical standards for the automation function
Execute continuous improvement and upgrade projects for process automation systems
Conduct and analyze condition-based predictive maintenance activities (e.g. infrared thermography, vibration monitoring, etc.) to detect early onset of equipment failures
Ability to perform mid-level mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance activities

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or extensive experience in similar roles
Minimum 10 years manufacturing experience: automation, controls, electrical/mechanical craft, IT
Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance work
LANGUAGE / COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Language Requirement – English
Strong communication and networking skills
Knowledge of manufacturing safety requirements for automated and electrical systems
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
·       Arithmetic, Algebra, Boolean logic

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to execute physical and logical troubleshooting sequences
Ability to read/understand controller ladder logic, programming code
Ability to read/understand electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certificates in programming and troubleshooting process automation systems including common PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms
Level I certification in multiple predictive technologies (e.g. infrared thermography, vibration monitoring, etc.)
Software proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Software
Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
