Shipping Associate

A Shipping Associate job opportunity is available at our manufacturing plant in Sacramento, CA at Milgard Windows and Doors. In this role, you will be responsible for truck loading and/or stocking the delivery routes. You will perform a variety of loading and stocking assignments.  

The compensation is $22.50 an hour. The position requires a start time of 7 AM, Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities available.

• Perform warehouse activities per standard operating procedures.
• Ensure loads are complete per documentation on the correct delivery vehicle in the proper order.
• Troubleshoot missing products through the manufacturing process and expedite to ensure on-time delivery.
• Secure loads in the proper fashion to minimize damage and breakage.
• Ensure the warehouse is stocked according to the route.
• Maintain proper paperwork account for all shipments, noting any discrepancies.
• Demonstrate Milgard's Quality Pillars in all business interactions. 
• Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment.

• Previous experience in a similar environment handling various sizes of finished goods.
• Glass handling and/or glass knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Read and understand window labels and route codes.
• Good hand dexterity with the ability to use handheld scanning units. 
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure. 

This position may require strenuous activities such as:  

• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted. 
• Standing for long periods.
